The Prayers of a 2 year old

We haven't started saying prayers with Nathan yet so I decided to start tonight. I explained to him that to pray was kind of like to wish for something you want or for someone that you love. So then I asked what he wanted to pray for tonight and he says "ummmm....presents?!?!?" I wonder who's child he is : )

Peachtree

Ryan has been training for this years Peachtree for what feels like years (I'm pretty sure it's been about 6 months) and the day finally arrived. I've figured out that I really despise the training but I really love the excitement of the big day. Anyway, Aaron spent the night with his Grandmom and Grandad and we woke Nathan up at 5:00am to head to the race. I think that's the earliest Nathan's ever been up before. He thought the big orange band was awesome and, of course, needed one too. I've been calling it a race band but I have been corrected and it is called a timing chip.

Next was our trip on Marta, which to Nathan, was also super cool. He was so excited to be on a train that we had no trouble with him the whole way there or back.
That first picture not only shows Nathan's excitement, but it shows Ryan's too ; )

Nathan and I found a perfect place to watch the race and lucky for us, it was a cool morning. He was fascinated by the wheelchair racers that went before the runners. He couldn't believe how fast they were going. Once they were done and Nathan was just about to lose interest, 5 very fast men came running past us. Those were the leaders of the pack. We didn't have to wait to much longer for Ryan to come running by. He beat his goal by running a 39:29 and coming in 443 out of over 50,000 people.

And after a VERY long day, this is Nathan fighting sleep on the way home.
