So much to tell......

Well, I just started blogging and already I stink at it.

Last Friday, March 5, 2010, We did Aaron's baby naming. A baby naming is the Jewish tradition of presenting a child with a Hebrew name. Aaron Reese is named after my wonderful grandmother, Terese, but traditionally the Hebrew name is after somebody that has passed away. So to keep in honor of my grandmother, his Hebrew name is after her father. We were surrounded by our family and great friends that have become our family and that made it such a wonderful day. The people that couldn't be there, well, we can't say it's because they didn't try. We are so blessed to have such wonderful family (friends included) that are a part of important moments like these. I didn't get any pictures (I know...WHAT?!?!?, no pictures!!) but it is a day that we will always remember even without the photos.

Aaron update:
Aaron has been very busy working on his skills. He is able to sit up all on his own now and he is now getting up on his hands and knees and rocking. I feel so bad for him because he actually has become somewhat mobile but he only goes backwards. I can't imagine how frustrating it must be to work so hard but keep getting further away from the things you want. He will be crawling in no time and I'm not sure I'm ready for that. : )

Oh...and let's not forget his first banana

And with this BEAUTIFUL weather we have been having, we have managed to make it outside quite a bit. Saturday morning we were able to go to our favorite trails with Ned, Mel and Carter and then Sunday we had a picnic at the playground. Monday night, a friend of Nathan's came over to play and we grilled hotdogs. While the big boys played in the yard, Aaron got a lesson in grilling from Daddy. I'm so ready for Spring!!!!

And...a Nathan update:
About 1 1/2 months ago Nathan graduated into a big boy bed and it was definitely not by our choice. Knowing Nathan, We knew this was going to be an adventure but nothing could have prepared us for this. First, he ruined his blinds. We had light blocker shades underneath them so when we took the blinds down, we taped the shades to the frame until we could buy some roller shades. Well, then Nathan ripped the light blocker shade straight down the middle so that he could look out the window. We then dashed to Home Depot and got one BIG roller shade to cover both windows. It's white and plastic and looks like we could watch a movie in there if we had a projector, but it's not fun and he can get underneath it to look out the window without ruining it. There goes his adorable room. Yesterday he was in his room crying so when I went up there he was stuck on his dresser and couldn't get down. He had pulled his drawers out far enough to use them as a ladder. When I got him off the dresser, he took me around the room and showed me all the places he had smeared vaseline on the walls and furniture. Anybody that has had to clean vaseline off the walls knows that is not an easy task. So, today we anchored his dresser to the wall and took the shelves down that were above his dresser. In the process of taking the shelves down, a nice sized hole was ripped in the wall. Is this ever going to end? Nathan....baby, I love you and your fun personality more than you will ever know, but Mommy's EXHAUSTED!!
